Polk Area Model Society
About our Model Club
We are an active IPMS Model Club (#1130) with close to 40 members, we meet the 4th Tuesday of each month! We encourage builders of ALL ages to participate, and we are always looking for new members. You can leave a message on this site if your wanting to know more about our exciting model club, we have model contests, participate in shows, have HUGE swap meets, and get together now and again for a bite to eat.

There are no rules other than being polite to each member, (we meet in a church) so casual dress ok. We look forward to any members wanting to join and if you are already a member please feel free to post here!

Our club dues are $24 a year. Funds go toward everyday expenses of the club and our annual show
The club decided for the 2025 year to not have monthly themes. It gives club members the opportunity to show off their current finished work. The only criteria to be entered in the Modeler of the Month contest is that the model has to be finished within 2024-2025.
We do have 2 special builds;
1. Christmas in July. Build what ever you got at the Christmas party.
2. End of the year build. This year the build has to start with a Revell kit. What you do with it is up to you. That is for the month of November.
